Saya teruja bila dapat tahu lagi 50 chain restaurant ini akan dibuka di Malaysia, Insyaallah. Mana tidak segala jenis cake invention nya tasty bagai. Saya teringat pertama kali saya membeli kek dari Secret Recipe. It was Chocolate Banana Cake, masa tu 1999, umur anak saya 2 tahun yg sulong tu. Marvelous! Love the cuts of banana between the cake and frosting.
BUT... haaaa, ada but di sini. Last few weeks ago saya pi dgn anak sulong saya saja ler nak minum petang di Secret Recipe Alamanda. Tea Break Time di mana purchase a cake, free tea or coffee. Saya order Cheese Berries cake with Earl Grey Tea dan anak saya Chocolate Fudge cake with ice lemon tea. Mine was absolutely out of this world, love it BUT my daughter's was huhhh, shall I say DRY. The cake was dry, frosting macam cake beli kat bakery biasa2 jer. Nothing special.
Moral of the story, jangan pi beli Chocolate Fudge cake. Menghampakan.
Saya sempat complaint pada waitress dan dia kata akan highlight this to the manager. Dia sendiri nampak bila saya kaut kek tu nampak tenture dry.
Ok, pic nak share. Tak syiok citer tak ada pic. Tapi bukan pic cake tu. Pic orang beratur tatkala promosi Marble Cheese Cake BUY 1 FREE 1 at selected outlet sahaja. Saya tak pi beli. Tapi tukang promosi kat sedara mara hehehe.. Secret Recipe kena kasi komisen bagai kat saya ni :-)
